I thought this would be a good time to note that my 30 beaches in 30 days descriptions were based on visits in July and August (unless noted otherwise).
Though our beaches are "open" year round… you know since the weather is still in the 80s in January… many of the beaches change (or disappear) in the winter months and the surf can change dramatically in the winter as well ~ great for experienced surfers but potentially presenting a few challenges for rookies and swimmers!
Enjoy the beaches, but watch the conditions to assess your comfort level and keep in mind our favorite saying, when in doubt, don’t go out!
